GENERAL REMARKS
When the receiver PIN and CAR codes (see CardinTX_SW instructions) are cancelled they are reset to the
default values. You are advised to always use personalised PIN and CAR codes.
The CARDIN App will not allow connection to devices which have the PIN set to the default values
'0'. In order to use the CARDIN App you must introduce a personalised PIN which is different to '0'.
All data and operating functions are memorised in the user code memory and in the SIM card.
In case of failure this will allow the installation to be reset by transferring the user code memory and SIM
into a new device.
• The performance of the 3G/WF device depends on the quality of the telephone network and the position
in which it is installed.
Check the level and quality of the signal when installing the device.
• The SIM used must allow data transfer.
• Before inserting the SIM into its housing in the modem insert the PIN number to unblock the receiver.
• For the 3G/WF connection the receiver requires caller authentication within a maximum of 30 seconds
after which the call will be cancelled.
• During a data connection all receiver functions are temporarily halted and [RMT] will appear on the
display.
• Data connection is only available if the receiver is in standby awaiting a command with [3G/WF] on the
display.
• To unblock a SIM card that is requesting PUK code or to navigate through the address book container
within you must use an external telephone.
• The data connection function can only be used with CardinTX_SW software versions.
