Campingaz ® MultiPurpose CV Garden Torch thermal
weed killer.
IMPORTANT : ALWAYS BE CAREFUL

These instructions aim to ensure the correct and totally
safe use of your Campingaz
Torch thermal weed killer.
Please read them carefully to familiarise yourself
with the equipment prior to assembling the gas
container.
Please observe these instructions and the safety
measures printed on the Campingaz
CV 300 PLUS / CV 470 PLUS cartridges. Failure to
observe these instructions may result in the user and
people in the immediate vicinity being put at risk.
Keep these instructions in a safe place so that you
can refer to them if needed.
This equipment must be used exclusively with
Campingaz CV 270 PLUS / CV 300 PLUS / CV 470
®
PLUS cartridges. Using other gas containers may be
dangerous.
The Société Application Des Gaz (Gas Enforcement
Company) accepts no responsibility where cartrid-
ges of any other make are used.
This equipment must only be used outside premises
and at a good distance from any flammable material.
Do not use equipment which leaks, functions incor-
rectly or is damaged. Return it to your retailer who
will inform you of your nearest after-sales service.
Never modify this equipment or use it for purposes
for which it is not intended.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
BE CAREFUL OF FIRE RISK! DRY GRASS CAT-
CHES ON FIRE EASILY AND FIRE CAN SPREAD
QUICKLY.
- Follow local regulations defining prohibitions on fire
use (available from your municipal government).
- Wear gloves.
- Wear closed shoes.
- Avoid breathing in combustion flames.
- Do not kill weeds in an area with an enclosed volume.
- Do not leave within the reach of children.
WEED KILLING WITH THE MULTIPURPOSE
CV GARDEN TORCH
Weed killing with the MultiPurpose CV Garden Torch by
Campingaz ® is done by provoking a thermal shock on
the plants to be eliminated.

The idea is not to burn the plant, but only to heat it for a
few seconds. You will see that the plant immediately
shrivels and changes color. It fades and disintegrates
within the next few days.
Please note:
- This device is not mean for treating lawns; rather, it is
for the care of gardens, borders, rock gardens and
walks with flagstones or paving.
- For best results, kill weeds in the spring when the
plant is very young (first appearance) or in the fall
(lowering of sap level).
- For perennials, it is necessary to intervene a number
of times at close intervals.
ASSEMBLING THE DEVICE
- Take the device and its accessories from their packa-
ging (fig. 1).
- The nozzle is made up of two parts: the burner part (1)
and an extension (2) (used for weed killing opera-
tions).
- Check to see that the gaskets on the outlet connec-
tions are in proper working order (fig. 2):
- burner (3)
- extension (4)
Do not use the device if a seal is missing or dama-
ged; return it to your dealer.
- If you need to use the extension (2), screw it to the
handle outlet connection (fig. 3), then screw the part
containing the burner (1) to the other end of the exten-
sion (fig. 4).
- If you do not need to use the extension (operations other
than weed killing), screw the part containing the burner
(1) directly to the handle outlet connection (fig. 5).
INSTALLING THE CAMPINGAZ

"Removing the cartridge")
When installing or changing a cartridge, always ope-
rate in a very well-ventilated location, preferably out-
side, never near a flame, heat source or spark (ciga-
rette, electric apparatus, etc.) and far away from other
people and inflammable materials.

- Check that the gas supply is fully turned off by turning
the control wheel (5) clockwise as far as the handle ("-
" direction of the arrow) (fig. 6).
