Thank you for purchasing a KRUPS kettle. Read the instructions carefully
and keep them handy.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
n Read the instructions for use carefully before using your appliance for the
first time, and keep them in a safe place: in the event of any inappropriate
use, KRUPS shall accept no liability.
n Only use your kettle to heat drinking water.
n Only plug the appliance into an earthed socket. Check that the power
voltage indicated on the nameplate of the appliance corresponds to that
of your mains installation.
n Keep the kettle and the power cord away from all sources of heat, wet or
slippery surfaces and sharp edges
n Your appliance must only be used with its lid closed and with its own base.
Do not attempt to plug in any other kettle, even of the same brand, or any
another domestic appliance on the electronic base.
n Never put the appliance, the base, the power cord or the plug in water or
any other liquid.
n Do not use the kettle in a bathroom or near a water source.
n Do not use the kettle when you have wet hands or bare feet.
n Be careful not to place the appliance and its base on a hot surface such
as a warming plate and ensure it is not used near a naked flame.
n Put the kettle and cord well towards the back of the work surface.
n Unplug the appliance from the mains immediately if you detect any
problem during operation.
n Do not pull on the power cord to unplug from the mains.
n Do not leave the power cord hanging over the edge of a table or a work
surface, to avoid any danger of falling.
n Always be careful when the appliance is working, and in particular be
careful of any steam leaving the spout, which can be very hot.
n Note also that the kettle's stainless steel body can become very hot when
it is working. Do not touch the kettle other than by the handle.
n Do not leave your hand or the power cord on the hot parts of the
appliance.
n Never leave the kettle connected to its base while you are filling it, pouring
from it, cleaning it or moving it.
n Always use the filter during the heating cycles.
n Never touch the filter or the lid when the water is boiling.
n Do not open the lid when water is boiling.
n Never move the kettle or leave it unattended while it is operating.
n Keep the appliance away from humidity and frost.
n If the power cord or the plug is damaged, do not use your kettle. To avoid
any danger, it is imperative that you have them replaced by a KRUPS
