3 Transport and interim storage

Immediately after receiving the product:
• Check the product for damage in transit
• In the event of damage in transit, take the neces-
sary steps with the forwarding agent within the
respective time limits.
CAUTION! Risk of damage!
Incorrect transport and interim storage can
cause damage to the product.
• Plastic tanks are impact-sensitive. The tank sur-
faces should not be exposed to any point forces.
• The tank must be drained completely before
transport.
• Transporting at temperatures below 5°C
increases the danger of material damage caused
by improper handling or the effects of impacts
as a result of the material properties!
• A sufficiently large pallet must be used for
transport in order to ensure load distribution
across the entire support surface!
• When using a crane for loading or transport, the
tank is to be raised with no fewer than 2 wide,
sufficiently load-bearing transport loops, which
are to be placed around the base of the tank!
• Tank attachments and connection ports may not
be used as supports for transport equipment!
• Short-term interim storage outdoors is possible,
although direct sunlight and temperatures
above 40°C should be avoided.

4 Intended use

Wilo break tanks made of plastic (with PE as
standard material) with the type designation GII
and GIII are used as depressurised break tanks in
accor accordance with DIN1988 for the indirect

to be observed in connection with their use and
application!
Black PE-HWU is used as the tank material for all
types, which is in compliance with Recommenda-
