CLEANING THE AIR FILTER
1.
Undo the screw (1).
2.
Remove the filter cover (2) and filter
element (3).
3.
Wash the filter element (3) with water
and a mild detergent. Do not use petrol
or solvent.
4.
Allow the filter to dry in the air.
5.
Replace the filter element (3) and filter
cover (2) and tighten the screw (1).

NOTE:
Always replace a damaged air filter,
otherwise the engine can be damaged.
Clean the filter regularly to ensure
correct and safe functionality.
Fuel filter
There is a filter in the fuel tank to prevent
impurities getting into the engine. Have the
filter replaced every year.
Checking the spark plug
Check the spark plug at regular intervals and
remove any deposits with a wire brush. Replace
the spark plug with a new one of the same
type if the electrodes are corroded or burnt,
and after about 50 working hours.
1.
Release the spark plug lead from the
spark plug and unscrew the spark plug
with the supplied spanner.
2.
Check and adjust the electrode gap, which
should be 0.6 - 0.7 mm.
3.
Replace the spark plug and tighten with
the supplied spanner.

Adjusting the idling speed
IMPORTANT:
The idling speed should be adjusted if the
engine tends to keep stopping, or if the
speed cannot be controlled with the throttle.
1.
Start the engine and run on idle for a few
minutes.
2.
Adjust the idling speed with the screw (1).
Turn clockwise to increase the engine speed.
Turn anticlockwise to reduce the engine
speed.
The engine should idle smoothly after
adjusting.

Maintenance not described in these
instructions should only be carried out by
an authorised service centre.
Measures carried out by unauthorised or
unqualified persons will invalidate the
warranty. The manufacturer cannot accept
liability for any damage resulting from
such measures.
STORAGE
What to do before putting into
storage
1.
Empty the fuel tank.
2.
Start the engine and run on idle until it
stops because of a lack of fuel.
3.
Allow the engine to cool and remove the
spark plug.
4.
Pour a teaspoon of pure 2-stroke oil in the
cylinder through the spark plug hole.
5.
Slowly pull the starter cord a few times to
distribute the oil.
6.
Put the cylinder in the top dead centre
by pulling the starter cord (seen through
spark plug hole).
7.
Screw the spark plug back on.
