Perform a separation
Insufficient light can lead to handling faults and impair experiment
results.
• Provide for sufficient light.

Position the MACSxpress Separator stable on a laboratory bench.

Open the tube containing the labeled sample.

If necessary, remove air bubbles on top of the sample with a pipette.

Place the open tube in the magnetic field of the MACSxpress Separator
for 15 minutes. The magnetically labeled cells will adhere to the wall of
the tube while the aggregated erythrocytes sediment to the bottom.

Switch on the light.
Do not pour off the supernatant, as the tube will fall out of the
MACSxpress Separator.

While the tube is still inside the MACSxpress Separator, carefully pipette
supernatant containing the non-labeled target cells into a new tube.
