When using the Medi Stim and when you ap-
ply the electrodes, you are advised to use two
electrodes per muscle group. For assistance,
see
[ insert_p 6]
Position the electrodes so that they surround
the muscle segments concerned. For opti-
mum effectiveness, the distance between
the electrodes should not be greater than ap-
prox. 15cm. The greater the distance chosen
between the electrodes, the greater will be the
volume of tissue stimulated. This applies to the
surface and the depth of the volume of tissue.
Likewise, the greater the distance between the
electrodes, the more the power stimulating
the tissue decreases. This means that if you opt
for a large distance between the electrodes,
the volume will be greater but stimulation less
so. To increase stimulation, you will then need
to increase the pulse intensity. The following
instructions apply when choosing the distance
between electrodes :

The most appropriate dis-
tance: approx. 5 to 15cm
•
Below 5cm, the primary surface
structures are strongly stimulated.
•
Above 15cm, the deep structures
extending across the large surface
areas are very poorly stimulated.

the device, then simply remove
the electrodes and put them
in a different place, otherwise,
some impact might be felt.
Operating the device

Once the electrodes are in position in the
area you want to treat, switch on your

In the TENS mode, press the

the intensity will be lower. Likewise,

are selected, press
