and turn SW3 a small amount anticlockwise.
Repeat application.
If SW3 is activated again proceed as above until
application is completed satisfactorily.
Proximity switch sensing distance is
1.5mm.
Connect the proximity switch cables SW1, SW2
and SW3 to the control box PCB as follows:
- Brown wire: 24V
- Black wire: Output
- Blue wire: 0V
Ensure the proximity-switch cable is plugged
into the top of the proximity switch and tightened
down.

● Set the gap between the (2) and (3) to equal
the depth of drilling required PLUS the
distance the bit is above the work piece, by
sliding (4).
● Make sure (8) is under (1), (LED will
illuminate) and lock into position with (5) to
the recommended torque.
● Loosen (7) and turn (6) for fine adjustment.
● Ensure covers are refitted.

CYCLE CHECK
● Do not clamp the tool outside of
the area marked on the outer case.
● Ensure safety guards are fitted
to avoid crushing fingers and
to prevent loose clothing being
caught in moving parts.
Ensure that the emergency stop button is
released.
Switch on the power supply and press the start
button.
The tool should rotate the leadscrew to advance
until the stroke adjusting screw actuates the
depth proximity switch.
The motor should stop and then reverse to
return the tool to the datum position.
When at datum the motor should switch off.
IMPORTANT: Upon setting up of the tool
it is advisable to carry out a series of
trial runs to ensure the tapping depth is
acceptable.

Leadscrew + nut
● Advance the tool from its datum position
to approximately half the depth of the
leadscrew.
● Release the grub-screws (1).
● Pull the tool forward using the quill which will
release the leadscrew from the output shaft
(2).
● Release screw on the cross head (3) and
slide the cross head back (towards the datum
position).
