3. Recommendations on the boiler
a. Installation and maintenance of the U-bend
•
Fill the U-bend with water before commissioning and before
measuring combustion
•
Allow for a slope after the U-bend to encourage the run-off of
condensates by gravity
•
Clean the U-bend (at least once a year)
•
If a condensates neutralisation station is installed:
Keep the neutralisation station flat beneath the level of the
U-bend outlet
Condensates must be able to run off naturally from the
boiler outlet to the neutralisation station
b. Maintenance of the condenser
•
Check the condition of the condenser and clean it with water
(at least once a year)
•
Check that there are no leaks on the condenser, particularly
on the hatch. When refitting the hatch:
Check the hatch gasket
(replace if necessary, ref SPC 300007086)
Check for leaks (gasket + hatch) using graphite silicon
available as a spare part (ref PR 300012077)
4. Recommendations on the stove fitting
•
Do not exceed the maximum authorised stove fitting length
•
The installation of 45° elbows is preferable to 90° elbows
•
Do not fit 90° elbows in series
•
Construct the horizontal sections on the flue gas side with a 3%
slope towards the boiler
•
Do not brick in the flue gas conduit (damps noise transmission
phenomena in the building caused by vibration)
•
Fix the concentric conduits to the wall using clamps and
bracket(s) (limits stress on the conduits during start-up)
•
Fix the conduit coming
into the sleeve with
the 3 self cutting
screws (delivered
with the sleeve).
