- before connecting the lines with the unit, ensure that the
position is final and then proceed in tightening using a span-
ner and a lock nut to avoid torsions on the machine enclosu-
re and be careful to clean the surfaces of the joints in order to
ensure perfect contact between the tightened surfaces;
- shape the refrigerant lines to bring them in corresponden-
ce to the external unit connections (please do not create
refrigerant lines curves with a radius below 100 mm to
avoid crushing the pipe section);
- attach the condensate drain tube (see the "condensate
drain" paragraph);
- remove the protections from the refrigerant line ends and
tighten the connections to the outdoor unit using a span-
ner and a lock nut to avoid tors ions on the machine
enclosure;
- connect the vacuum pump to the gas line's connecting
pin;
- do not open the cocks (the vacuum must be done on the
lines and on the indoor unit);
- create a vacuum until reaching 760 mmHg;
- once all above steps have been completed and after
having, definitely, disconnected the vacuum pump, com-
pletely open the cocks operating the nuts using a 4 mm
hexagon male spanner;
- replace caps and tighten them;
- implement the condensate drain;
- after having checked that everything is correct and the
position of the lines are final, fasten the cables and the
refrigerator lines together and anchor them with clamps.

ONDENSATE DRAINAGE CONNECTION
During cold functioning the internal unit removes humidity
from the air. The condensate water must be eliminated by
linking the proper drainage pipe attachment with outer dia-
meter of 16 mm to the condensate system drainage pipe.
To avoid unpleasant smells wafting up through the drainage
pipe, you are recommended to install an appropriate
syphon.
The unit is fitted with a number of floating pump devices for
raising the condensate from the basin to the drainage consi-
sting of one electric cabinet, one electric pump with non-
return valve and floating cock with three-level sensors: ON,
OFF and Alarm.
The power supply for the floating pump device must never
be interrupted.
If the raising device is in alarm mode (when the level of the
basin reaches 16 mm), the flow of water in the battery is
interrupted, the ventilation remains on.
The basin is fitted with an overflow hole to ensure that the
condensate water runs off if the floating pump device is not
working. In this case dripping can be seen from the grille.
The pump allows for a maximum head of 80 cm from the
level of the suspended ceiling (fig. 5), if this height should
not be sufficient, you must use an auxiliary device.
You are advised to use rigid piping that is heat insulated to
avoid condensation on the outer surfaces.

ONNECTION FOR THE INTAKE OF FRESH AIR FROM OUTSIDE
The unit may be connected to a duct system to intake fresh
air using the KFA circular flange accessory with a diameter of
100 mm, applied to the louver (R fig. 3).
Please refer to the "FRESH OUTSIDE AIR" chapter.

ONNECTION FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE AIR TREATED TO AN
ADJACENT ROOM
The unit may be connected to a duct with a diameter of
100 mm to deliver fresh air using the KFA circular flange
accessory, applied to the louver (M fig. 3).

ADJACENT ROOM" chapter.

EXTERNAL FRESH AIR
The side openings on the polystyrene basin, permit the
separate attachment of an external intake fresh air pipe and
a delivery pipe for treated air towards an adjacent room.
The external fresh air intake vent is covered by an easy to
remove cap made of plastic.
To connect the vent with the canal, use the KFA flange (acces-
sory) fixing it to the basin with the four screws supplied.
Use material that is suitable for the operation with conti-
nuous temperatures of 80 °C. The ducts can be flexible
made of polyester (with spiral steel core) or made of corru-
gated aluminium, externally coated with anti-condensate
material (fibre glass 12 ÷ 25 mm in thickness). When the
installation is complete, the non-insulated surfaces must be
coated with anti-condensate insulation (e.g. expanded neo-
prene, 6 mm thickness).
To beat the fall in pressure due to the renewed air intake
vent, duct, filter etc., it is necessary to install a suitably-sca-
led fan.
For winter operation with the intake of outside air, it is advi-
sable to fit an antifreeze thermostat set at 2 °C, with the
bulb placed on the water outlet pipe, that shuts off the sup-
plementary fan.
The external air flow must not exceed 10 % of the total air
flow to prevent operating problems or excessive noise.
Install outside an intake grill with filter frame that can be
inspected, to prevent dust and leaves being sucked in that
could block up the unit's heat exchange battery irreparably.
The installation of the filter also avoids the installation of a
channel closure gate during periods of inactivity.
DELIVERY OF TREATED AIR TO ADJACENT ROOM
The delivery of the air towards the adjacent room requires
the closure of the delivery channel in the basin, correspon-
ding with the duct, with isolating tape (supplied with the
KFA accessory flange).
The aperture of the delivery is closed. To open it apply the flan-
ge (accessory KFA) fixing it to the sink with 4 screws supplied,
cut the polystyrene following the indented track and the edge of
the flange being careful not to damage the parts behind.
Close the delivery grille that corresponds to the side occu-
pied by the same flange with the gasket supplied with the
KFA accessory. It is necessary to install an air recovery vent
on the wall dividing the two air-conditioned room the unit
is installed in and the adjacent room.
