Fit the set screw (5) on the adjustment collar (6)
and screw it to the right side of the tilt tube until it
comes into contact with the tilt tube stop nut, even in
case of port applications.

Grease the tilt tube rod (7), by using marine
grease.
Insert the tilt tube rod through the right and left bull
horns (8) and the tilt tube (9) as shown in the picture.

Once the correct spacers have been chosen, remove the tilt tube rod.
10 Insert the tilt tube rod (7) through a bull horn (8), then position the spacers chosen (10) between the bull
horn (8) and the tilt tube (9).
Insert the tilt tube rod (7) by making it come out on the opposite side of the tilt tube (9) and position the spacers
(11).
NOTICE
Both the stainless steel spacers must be positioned to-
wards the tilt tube on the opposite side of the bull horns to
avoid their wear during engine lifting and lowering.

In this phase ensure that the cylinder body is centered
on the rod and that the engine is perpendicular to the
transom.
The number and position of the spacers shown in the
Application guide are indicative only.

Always leave a minimum clearance between spacers
and bull horn in order to allow the rod tilting in the
tilt tube.

With reference to the' "Application Guide"
choose the spacers for the tilt tube rod.
