15. Routine maintenance of your appliance
The cabinet must be cleaned regularly. Before cleaning the cabinet, the appliance must be dis-
connected from the power supply, either by unplugging it or by removing the fuse. Before first
use and then at regular intervals, it is recommended that the cabinet be cleaned both inside
and out (front, sides and on top) with a mixture of warm water and gentle cleaning fluid. Rinse
with water and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting. Do not use solvents or abrasive
products. Clean the shelves with a gentle detergent then dry with a soft, dry cloth. On first
use, some odours may be present. In this case, the appliance should be operated at the lowest
temperature, empty, for a few hours. The cold will remove these possible odours.
16. What to do in the event of a power outage
Most power outages are resolved in a short time. An outage of 1 or 2 hours will not affect the
temperatures in your wine cooler. In order to protect the wines during the outage, open the door
as little as possible. In the event of very long outages, take all necessary steps to protect your
wines. In the event of a power interruption, the unit can remember the previous temperature
settings, and when the power is restored, the wine cooler temperature will return to the previ-
ous setting.
17. Storing the wine cooler
If the appliance is going to be unused for a short period of time, leave the control panel with
the normal settings.
If the appliance will not be used for longer periods:
- Remove the bottles from the cabinet.
- Unplug the wine cooler.
- Clean both the inside and outside of the cabinet.
- Leave the door open to avoid condensation, odours and mould.
18. Moving the wine cooler
• Remove all the bottles in the cabinet and securely fasten all moveable parts.. To avoid dam-
aging the levelling screws on the feet, screw them completely into the base.
• Tape the door shut.
• Be sure the appliance stays secure in an upright position during transportation. Protect the
outside of appliance with a blanket, or a similar item.
