2.
Connect the torch's gas hose to the gas outlet (F).
3.
Connect ground lead connector to the:
a.
DCEP – negative power socket (G).
b.
DCEN – positive power socket (E).
4.
Clamp the ground lead to the workpiece or workbench.
5.
Turn the welding unit on and select DC TIG or Pulse DC TIG (see
Operation- Control Panel Set-Up For Welding).
6.
Select the Welding Parameters (P) for the task.
a.
Select the current. The number of amps will appear in the digital
display (J).
b.
Select the pulse frequency for DC TIG Pulse. The frequency will
appear in the digital display. See Welding Parameters - Pulse
Frequency(Hz).
7.
Connect the gas hose from the gas cylinder regulator to the gas inlet on
the rear of the welding machine. Open the valve on the gas cylinder and set
the flow between 21 to 30 CFH. Check for gas leaks.
8.
Proceed to the welding task.
SET-UP FOR AC TIG OR PULSE AC TIG
1.
Connect the TIG torch to the positive power socket (E).
2.
Connect the torch's gas hose to the gas outlet (F).
3.
Connect ground lead connector to the negative power socket (G).
4.
Plug the foot pedal cord into the remote connection port (C). Ensure the
cord is clear of the workpiece and is easily accessible during welding.
5.
Clamp the ground lead to the workpiece or workbench.
6.
Turn the welding unit on and select AC TIG or Pulse AC TIG (see Operation-
Control Panel Set-Up For Welding).
7.
Select the Welding Parameters (P) for the task.
a.
Select the current. The number of amps will appear in the digital display.
b.
Select the AC frequency. The frequency will appear in the digital
display. See Welding Parameters – AC Frequency(Hz).
c.
Select the AC balance. The percentage number will appear in the
digital display. See Welding Parameters – AC Balance(%).
