2. Changing the "Emergency address" and "Sensor adress"
The Emergency address and Sensor address can be changed in one action.
Whenever you do not want to change any one of the two addresses, you can skip the relevant step
(steps 3 and 5).
Changing the addresses can be done as follows:
1. Keep the Test button (1) pressed and press the Reset button (4) for a few seconds. The
yellow program LED (5) will light up.
2. Release the Test button. Wait 3 seconds and continue with step 3.
3. Choose the Emergency address, for example Emergency address 5. Press the Test button 5
times. The yellow LED will light up each time you press the Test button.
4. Wait until the yellow LED lights up again. Now you can program the Sensor address. Wait 3
seconds and continue with step 5.
5. Choose the Sensor address, for example Sensor address 3. Press the Test button 3 times.
The yellow LED will light up each time you press the Test button.
Three seconds after entering the Sensor address, the programmed addresses will be shown. The
yellow LED will first indicate the new Emergency address (e.g. by flashing 5 times for Emergency
address 5). The new Sensor address will be shown after a short pause (e.g. by flashing 3 times for
Sensor address 3). The procedure will be closed off automatically. The yellow LED will flash rapidly to
indicate the procedure has been finished.
PLEASE NOTE: THE LED WILL NOT FLASH AT THE END OF THE PROCEDURE IF YOU HAVE
PROGRAMMED "SENSOR ADDRESS=1".
3. Retrieving programmed addresses
Keep the Reset button (4) pressed for a short period. The current system settings will be shown again.
4. Registering the smoke alarm with the SC9000 SafeGuard/TotalGuard console (advanced use)
Follow the following steps:
1. Access the menu by pressing the Menu (arrow UP or DOWN) buttons. The console will
read "ENTER PIN".
2. Enter your 4-digit PIN code (factory setting 0000). An asterisk (*) will be displayed for
each number that is typed in.
