The Lamello Plano 45 and Lamello Cantex milling machines are suitable for flush-milling of projecting wooden com-
ponents, such as rosin gall patches, patching bars and knot repairs in the surface. With its enlarged baseplate, the
Cantex model can also be used for flush-milling of stripped edges. The plastic rule screwed to the baseplate can be
removed to mill edge strips projecting all round.

General
The height of the cutter head can be adjusted in steps of 0.035 mm (= 1 division). The milling machine is set as stan-
dard to "0", i.e. the cutter is flush with the supporting surface of the machine. The machine can be set down without
the cutter contacting the surface thanks to the supporting foot at the rear end of the baseplate (when the machine is
not used or if the cutter continues to run for a few seconds after switching off).
A) Directions for use
1. Set cutting depth with adjusting wheel: 1 division = 0.035 mm
The wheel should be turned in the plus zone to the right to cut more or
turned in the minus zone to the left to cut less
2. Switch on machine
3. Guide machine with both hands over the projecting piece of wood. Correct cutting depth if necessary and repeat
procedure until the required result is obtained.
4. Switch off machine
5. Put machine down so that the supporting foot prevents contact between cutter and surface
6. Withdraw power plug after finishing work
B) Changing the reversible tips
Use only perfectly sharpened and undamaged reversible tips!
Use only original Lamello reversible tips part no. 131822!
Wait for the cutter to stop before setting the tool down. An exposed cutter may engage the surface leading to possible
loss of control and serious injury.
1. Withdraw power plug
2. Release the 4 Torx screws with the screwdriver supplied Torx TX20
3. Lift motor unit from cutter case
4. Release screws of reversible tips with the screwdriver supplied Torx TX15
5. Turn or exchange reversible tips and re-tighten screws. Only original Lamello reversible tips part no. 131822
(45 x 12 x 1.5 mm) must be used. Ensure that all reversible tips lie evenly on the cutter head
6. Position motor unit in cutter case
7. Re-tighten the 4 Torx screws firmly
8. Check whether the cutter setting corresponds with the scale. Re-adjust scale if necessary with the screwdriver
supplied Torx TX10.
