CAM processing
• In dry processing in the milling machine, care must be taken that
milling chips are extracted or evacuated.

burs available for thermoplastics and PMMA. If you have questions
on these topics, please contact the manufacturer of your milling
machine, software or milling tools.
FINOFRAME PMMA SPLINT

121 °C. Particularly in the case of dry milling, it should be ensured
that there is no excessive heat transfer to the material, e.g. due to
excess speed and/or feed rate, as otherwise the milling tool and/or
the material surface could smear.
Trimming
• Cross-cut carbide burs suitable for resin should be used to rework
and separate frameworks, crowns, bridges, denture bases, bite
splints and drilling templates from the blank.
• To prevent inaccurate fitting after fabricating the construction, avoid
excessive heat development during trimming and polishing.
Restoration
Constructions, which have been fabricated from the
SPLINT
can be restored and supplemented at any time with all standard
MMA-based cold-curing polymers. Prior conditioning of the surface is
necessary, preferably with acrylate-based bonding agent in accordance
with the specifications of the manufacturer.
Storage
• No special measures required.
Notes
• Minimum wall thickness after polishing ≥1 mm.
• Record the LOT number with every process that requires identifica-
tion of the material
can generally be used with the common
features a glass-transition temperature of
