6.2. Conditions of use

• The temperature must not move outside the
application temperature range of –40 °C to +80 °C.
• The load capacity as specified in the technical data
must not be exceeded.
• The swivel is rotatable below the maximum load
capacity.
• The swivel can be blocked by two grub screws.
• Not suitable for underwater use.
• No lateral forces and/or parallel shear pull > 2°
caused by the rope may act on the PFEIFER Swivel.
NOTE!
According to ISO 16625, Annex B, chapter
B.4, the maximum parallel shear pull for
extremely rotation­free ropes may not
exceed 2°.
• Sudden stresses must be avoided.
• The swivel as part of the load lifting attachment is
not designed for the transport of loads above people.

6.3. Lubricant recommendation

The PFEIFER Swivel PSH TSS is lubricated as standard
with Gleitmo 585M. Gleitmo 585M is a high­grade
lithium­soap paste on a mineral oil basis. Do not mix
with greases with a different soap basis. Safety data
sheet available on request.
For trouble­free operation of the swivel, it is recom­
mended to re­lubricate the swivel via the grease nipple
with Gleitmo 585M. It is not advisable to use a different
lubricant.

• provides extensive protection against wear and tear –
even with shock load and oscillatory movement
• reduces fretting corrosion
• provides excellent corrosion protection
• permits long lubrication intervals
• very resistant to ageing
• permits heavy­duty machines and systems
to function reliably

The guidelines for the cargo lashing must be adhered to
when transporting in a vehicle. Manual lifting of heavy
loads from 20 kg (men) or 8 kg (women) should be

cotter pin (Swivel PSH civil engineering), the lock
washer (Swivel PSH civil engineering), the centring
sleeve (Swivel PSH civil engineering So) and the
protective bushing (Swivel PSH civil engineering So)
must be checked for visible damage, e. g. cracks,
corrosion, deformation. etc.
