7. Installation and connection
All connecting cables must not be bent or squeezed. This can result in
malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device. Make sure that cables or
wires are not damaged when drilling or bolting in place.
• There should be no other electronic devices in close proximity to the code lock (min. distance:
50 cm) with a frequency range of 100 kHz to 150 kHz, as this may cause interference.
• The distance between two code locks or between one code lock and a card reader should
be at least 50 cm!
• Do not connect any cables while the code lock is in operation! Prior to the installation, ensure
that the voltage supply is 12 V/DC and observe the correct polarity (plus and minus)!
• To open the casing, you first have to loosen the two screws on the bottom of the housing.
(Matching Allen key enclosed.) Now you can open the housing by sliding the two halves apart.
Remove the keypad from the bottom of the housing.
• Now you will see three round markings on the inside of the housing. Drill three borings with
a 3.5 - 4 mm metal drill.
• Attach the housing with suitable installation material on a level, vertical and vibration-free
surface.
• After you have tested all functions and modes of operation, you can close the back of the
housing again.
