Carefully open the oxygen valve (blue) on the burner. Make sure the oxygen flow is very
low, as the flame cannot ignite properly with a strong oxygen flow.
Carefully open the gas valve (red) on the burner. Make sure the fuel gas flow is very low, as
the flame cannot ignite properly with a strong gas flow. Ignite the released gas mixture im-
mediately using the supplied safety igniter.
Flame adjustment:
If the flame has a yellowish appearance, add oxygen carefully to the flame to get a clear, pale
blue flame cone and a light blue secondary flame.
If the flame should go out immediately after the ignition, either the fuel gas valve (red) or the ox-
ygen valve (blue) on the handle is open too far.
Reduce the flow rate via the valves on the handle.
Flame extinction:
Always close the gas valve (red) first, followed by the oxygen valve (blue) on the handle.
After completion of the work: Close the valves on the handle and on the two pressure reducers.
To remove the remaining amount of gas in the hose, open the valves on the handle again. This
will depressurize the hoses. Now close the valves on the handle again.
Disassemble the cartridge from the pressure reducers. The safety devices, hoses and burners
can stay connected.
Cartridge change:
Cartridge change only at a well-ventilated place, preferably outdoors. Ensure via
leak detection spray (e.g. ROTEST, Art.-No. 65000) or soapy water that all connec-
tions are gas tight!
Make sure that all valves are closed before starting work.
Hold the pressure reducer and unscrew the cartridge by turning the bottle. Oxygen cartridge:
left-hand thread. MAPP-gas cartridge: right-hand thread.
Make sure that the seal of the pressure reducer is present and intact, and the terminals are
free from oil and grease.
Hold the pressure reducer and screw the cartridge into the pressure reducer.

Flame becomes yellow
Flame becomes smaller and lifts

Cause / solution
The oxygen cylinder valve is closed or opened too little.
Open the oxygen cylinder valve.
The oxygen tank is empty. Replace the empty oxygen
bottle with a full one
Either the gas cartridge valve is closed, not opened wide
enough, or the gas cartridge is empty.
Open the gas cartridges valve by turning left-hand or
replace the gas cartridge. If you still hear noise of liquid
when shaking the gas cartridge, the ambient temperature
is too low to remove the gas in the gaseous phase (below -
20 ° C)
