PURPOSE Of ThE CERTIfICATION
The objective of the requirements and tests
established by law EN 14225-2: 2005 is to
guarantee the minimum function and safety
of the dry suit using SCUBA (self contained
underwater breathing apparatus) gear at a
maximum depth of 50 meters.
The diver using a dry suit and diving with
scuba equipment must have adequate thermal
support for the entire length of the dive without
needing to interrupt the dive itself and come
to the surface due to uncontrolled heat loss
caused by inadequate materials, thickness, or
the design used in producing the dry suit itself.
The certification tests ascertain that the
requirements for conformity with these
standards are identified and noted on the
product that is subjected to such testing.
In order to guarantee maximum attention to
safety and to the care and maintenance of the
product, a label with the following text is sewn
into each dry suit:
