Prior to use
Remove the raclette grill from the packaging and remove the packaging material completely.
Check the raclette grill for signs of damage. If damaged, the raclette grill must not be used.
Place the raclette grill on a flat, heat-resistant surface. If the surface is sensitive, place a
heat-resistant board under the raclette grill.
DANGER! There is a risk of burns! The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be
very high when the device is operating.
Do not touch the grill base (7), grill plate (1) or stone plate (2) to prevent injury.
If necessary, use oven gloves to prevent burns due to grease splashes.
Never transport the raclette grill during operation.
Never operate the raclette grill without the grill plate (1) and stone plate (2)
placed on top of it. Otherwise, the burning heating elements are exposed and
may cause severe burns on contact.
Clean the raclette grill as described in the section "Cleaning".
Lightly grease the grill plate (1) with suitable grease, margarine or oil. This enables production-
related residue to be removed more easily.
Then insert the mains plug into a socket that is always easily accessible.
Turn the thermostat (3) towards "MAX". The thermostat indicator light (5) lights up red. Heat
the raclette grill until the thermostat indicator light (5) goes out, thus indicating that the
temperature has been reached. When the thermostat (3) is at "MAX", the heating goes into
continuous operating mode and the thermostat indicator light (5) lights up continually.
When using the device for the first time, production-related residue may give rise to a slight
odour and minor smoke emission is also possible. This is normal and will fade after a short time.
Please ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Open a window if necessary.
After approximately 15 minutes, turn the thermostat (3) to "0" in order to switch off the raclette
grill.
Now disconnect the mains plug from the socket and let the raclette grill cool down. Then clean
the raclette grill again as described in the section "Cleaning".
First use
Place the raclette grill on a flat, heat-resistant surface. If the surface is sensitive, place a
heat-resistant board under the raclette grill.
