General description
The static domestic gas meter AERIUS is a fully electronic
measuring device based on the microthermal measuring
principle. The measurement is pressure and temperature
converting.
The meter measures gas volume under specified standard
conditions, i.e. the so-called standard volume. A standard
cubic metre of gas is the amount that has a volume of
one cubic metre at a pressure of 1,013.25 mbar and a
temperature of 0 °C (optional 15 °C or 20 °C). This must
be taken into account when billing or comparing measure-
ments with other meters that measure and indicate the
operating volume.
The geodesic height of the installation location or the
ambient temperature (indoor/outdoor installation) can be
ignored. The AERIUS measures gas and air as indicated
on the type plate. Air measurement is shown by a symbol
appearing in the display.
The meter is optionally equipped with a function to meas-
ure high mixtures of liquid gas by temperatures <0°C. If
the device contains this function, the gas type indicated is
followed by the letter "C".
The data generated by the meter appear on display in
specific windows for specific information (e.g. flow values,
