2.41 Löschkopf
(siehe Abb. 15)
Zum Auswechseln des Löschkopfes ist die
Befestigungsmutter (H) zu lösen und der auf
der Montageplatte sitzende Kopf auszubauen.
Beim Einbau ist die Befestigungsmutter (H)
so stark anzuziehen, daß die darunterliegende
Feder vorgespannt wird. Beim Vierspurkopf-
träger muß die Spaltoberkante des Lösch-
kopfes mit der Bandoberkante abschließen.
Beim Zweispurkopfträger muß die Spaltober-
kante 0,2 mm über die Bandoberkante heraus-
ragen. Beim Zweispurkopfträger des Typs
Variocord 263 müssen die Spaltkanten des
Löschkopfes oben und unten gleich weit über
die Bandkanten herausragen. Die Höherver-
stellung des Löschkopfes erfolgt mit den
Schrauben (K), (L) und (M). Durch gleich-
mäßiges Drehen der Schrauben wird eine
Schrägstellung der Stirnflächen vermieden.

2.42 Kombikopf
(siehe Abb. 15)
Zum Auswechseln des Kombikopfes ist die
Befestigungsmutter (I) zu lösen und der auf
der Montageplatte sitzende Kopf auszubauen.
Beim Einbau ist die Befestigungsmutter (I)
so stark anzuziehen, daß die darunterliegende
Feder vorgespannt wird.
Zur Einstellung des Kombikopfes ist das dem
Gerätetyp entsprechende UHER-Zweispur-
oder UHER-Vierspur-Justierband zu verwen-
den. - NF-Röhrenvoltmeter an die Kontakte
3 und 2 (2 = Masse) der Buchse „Radio/
Phono" anschließen. UHER-Justierband auf-
l egen und einmal vor- und zurückspulen. Ge-
rät auf Wiedergabe schalten. Kombikopf
durch Drehen der Schrauben (N) und (0) auf
die erforderliche Höhe einstellen. Hierbei ist
die jedem Justierband beiliegende Anweisung
zu beachten. Ein Neigen des Kopfes nach
vorne oder hinten ist durch gleichmäßiges
Drehen beider Schrauben zu vermeiden.
Durch Drehen der Schraube (P) wird die
maximale Ausgangsspannung des Justier-
tones am NF-Voltmeter eingestellt. Damit ist
die Senkrechtstellung des Kombikopfes er-
reicht.
2.43 DIA-Pilot-Kopf
(siehe Abb. 15)
Zum Auswechseln des DIA-Pilot-Kopfes ist
die Befestigungsmutter (T) zu lösen und der
auf der Montageplatte sitzende Kopf auszu-
bauen. Beim Einbau ist die Befestigungsmut-
ter (T)
so
stark anzuziehen, daß die darun-
terliegende Feder vorgespannt wird. - Der
Dia-Pilot-Kopf ist so zu justieren, daß der
Kopfspalt mit der Bandunterkante abschließt.
Die Höhenverstellung des Dia-Pilot-Kopfes
erfolgt mit der Schraube (Q), (R) und (S).

2.41 Erase Head
(see Fig. 15)
I n order to exchange the erase head, slacken
the retaining nut (H) and remove the head
which is mounted an a mounting bracket.
When installing the new head, the retaining
nut (H) must be tightened forcefully enough
to prestress the underlying spring.
With the four-Tack sound-head assembly, the
top edge of the gap of the erasing head must
be flush with the top edge of the tape. With
the two-tack sound-head assembly, the top
edge of the gap must project 0.2 mm above
the top edge of the tape. With the two-tack
sound-head assembly of model Variocord263,
the edges of the gap of the sound-head as-
sembly must project evenly above the edges
of the tapes.
The height adjustment of the erase head is
performed by means of the screws (K), (L)
and (M). Turning the screws simultaneously
and by the saure amounts, will avoid tilting
of the head faces.
2.42 Recording-Playback Head
(see Fig. 15)
I n order to change the recording-playback
head, slacken the retaining nut (I) and re-
move the head which is mounted an a mount-
i ng bracket. When installing the new head,
the retaining nut (I) must be tightened forte-
fully enough to prestress the underlying
spring. The recording playback head is to be
aligned with the aid of the UHER Two-Track
Test Tape or the UHER Four-Track Test Tape,
as the case may be. Connect an audio-fre-
quency VTVM across the contacts 3 and 2
(2 = ground) of the "Radio/Phono" socket.
Thread the UHER Test Tape, wind and re-
wind the entire length of the tape and sät
the recorder for playback. Adjust for proper
height of the playback head by turning the
screws (N) and (0). Follow the instructions
supplied with the Test Tape. Turning the two
screws simultaneously and by the saure
amounts will avoid tilting of the head toward
the front or back of the recorder. Adjust for
maximum output voltage of the test signal
(to be read an the audio-frequency VTVM)
by turning the screw (P). This completes
proper azimuth alignment of the playback
head.
2.43 DIA-Pilot-Head
(see Fig. 15)
I n order to exchange the DIA-Pilot-Head,
slacken the retaining nut (T) and remove the
head which is mounted an a mounting
bracket. When installing the new head, the
retaining nut (T) must be tightened forte-
fully enough to prestress the underlying
spring.
The Dia-Pilot-Head must be adjusted so that
i ts gap is flush with the lower edge of the

Pour I'ächange de la töte d'effacement l'6crou
de fixation (H) doit etre desserre et la töte
agencäe sur une platine doit ätre retiree. Lors
de la mise en place de la nouvelle töte, I'ecrou
de fixation (H) doit ätre retiree. Lors de la
mise en place de la nouvelle täte, I'äcrou de
fixation doit ötre serrä ä fond et tendre le
ressort de maintien sur lequel il agit.
Avec la version =quatre pistes= de I'unite de
tetes interchangeable, I'arete supärieure de
I' entrefer de la töte d'effacement doit se
trouver au meme niveau que I'arete supä-
rieure de la bande. Avec la version abipiste-
de I'unitä de tätes interchangeable, I'aräte
supärieure de I'entrefer de la töte d'efface-
ment doit döpasser de 0,2 mm I'aröte supä-
rieure de la bande. Avec I'unitö de tätes
=bipiste= du Variocord 263, lös aretes supä-
rieure et infärieure de I'entrefer de la täte
d'effacement doivent avoir la meme tote de
d6passement par rapport ä I'aröte supärPeure
et infärieure de la bande.
Le räglage en hauteur de la töte d'efface-
ment s'opere ä I'aide des vis (K), (L) et (M).
Un serrage ou desserrage uniforme des vis
ävite I'inclinaison en avant ou en arriere de
l a töte.
2.42 Töte d'enregistrement-lecture
(voir fig. 15)
Pour I'ächange de la töte d'enregistrement-
l ecture, l'6crou de fixation (I) doit ätre des-
serrä et la täte agencäe sur une platine doit
ätre retiräe. Lors de la mise en place de la
nouvelle täte, l'6crou de fixation (I) doit ötre
serrä ä fond et tendre le ressort de maintien
sur lequel il agit.
Pour le räglage de la töte d'enregistrement-
l ecture, utiliser la bande d'ajustage UHER ä
deux pistes (pour la version =bipiste=) ou ä
quatre pistes (pour la version =quatre pis-
tes-). Brancher un voltmetre BF sur lös
bornes 3 et 2 (2 = masse) de la prise =Radio/
Phono•. Insärer la bande d'ajustage UHER,
puls la faire d6filer une fois en avant et en
arriere. Enclencher le magnätophone en rd-
gime -Reproductionn. Donner ä la töte lecture
sa hauteur correcte ä I'aide des vis (N) et (0).
Consulter ä cet äffet lös instructions jointes
ä la bande d'ajustage. Un serrage ou des-
serrage uniforme des deux vis ävite I'in-
clinaison en avant ou en arriere de la täte.
Avec la vis (P), rägler la tonalitä d'ajustage
sur sa tension de sortie maximale. La posi-
tion rigoureusement verticale de la täte lec-
ture äst ainsi obtenue.
2.43 Täte de commande du DIA-Pilot
(voir fig. 15)
Pour I'echange de la töte de commande du
DIA-Pilot I'ecrou de fixation (T) doit ätre
desserre et la täte agencäe sur une platine
doit ätre retiräe. Lors de la mise en place de
l a nouvelle täte, l'6crou de fixation (T) doit
etre retiräe. Lors de la mise en place de la
nouvelle töte, l'6crou de fixation doit etre
serrä ä fond et tendre le ressort de maintien
sur lequel il agit.
