7 Axial Spring Replacement
Remove VTM from the Elite Blade. Lubrication of the bearing surface may be carried out
using 'Sapphire Endure' (928015) or equivalent PTFE loaded grease.

undo the retaining screw
and remove axial spring

Undo and remove
Pyramid screw and
withdraw pyramid
tube

Note:
It may be necessary to partly
unscrew the Pyramid Screw as
shown and gently tap the screw
head to disengage the anti-
rotation pins.

Assembly is the reverse of the
above, taking care to orientate the
Pyramid Tube aperture to ensure
access for the rotation stop. Mark
the bottom of the carrier with the
appropriate rating of spring [ 1-4
] using a permanent marker (see
table).
