3.1 ATEX-IECEx certificate details

3.1.1 Temperature:

The relation between ambient temperature range, gas group and Ex code is as follows:

3.1.3 Installation instructions

All cable connectors/glands shall be ATEX/IECEx certified, as appropriate, in type of explosion protection "d"
and/or "tb", rated IP66/IP68, suitable for the conditions of use and correctly installed.
When conduit is used, a suitable ATEX/IECEx certified stopping box shall be used, as appropriate, in type of
explosion protection "d" and/or "tb", rated IP66/IP68 (2h, 5m), suitable for the conditions of use and correctly
installed. The stopping box must be fitted within 50mm (1.97in) from the enclosure wall.
Unused cable entries are to be sealed off using closing devices ATEX/IECEx certified, as appropriate, in type of
explosion protectio n "d" and/or "tb", rated IP66/IP68, suitable for the conditions of use and correctly installed.
For ambient temperatures below –10°C use field wiring suitable for minimum ambient temperature.
It is required to use cables, cable glands, fittings or other connection elements suitable for the indicated
minimum temperature: +80°C
