LOC
Here you set the sensitivity of the station search.
LOC ON:
The auto-scan only stops at strong stations.
LOC OFF:
The auto-scan also stops at weaker stations.
STEREO/MONO
Here you set the reception mode when using the radio.
STEREO:
The radio receives the stations in stereo.
MONO:
The radio receives the stations in mono.
When transmitter stations are weak switching to mono reduces interferences.
ALRM
Here you set whether the device is supposed to show the message ALARM when receiving a catastrophe warning.
ALRM ON:
In case of a catastrophe warning, ALARM blinks on the display.
ALRM OFF:
In case of a catastrophe warning, ALARM does not blink on the display.
The display message is independent of whether the PTY function is activated or not. Prerequisite for
the alarm display is that the station actually sends such an alarm message.
If you select the setting ALRM OFF, you will still receive the message but it will not be indicated on the
display.
