Volume control
• Press the VOL- button (7) to decrease the volume.
• Press the button VOL+ (10) to increase the volume.
Setting the operating mode
• Press the STANDBY/MODE button (4) briefly to set the operation mode (DAB or FM).
Button Lock
• Press the ENTER/LOCK button (5) when in operation in order to activate or deactivate the button lock.
The button lock prevents from unintentional button pressing, if the device e.g. is carried in a
pocket. With button lock activated, a corresponding symbol appears on the display (3).
Menu navigation
• Press and hold the MENU/INFO button (11) to switch to the menu display (lower display line).
• Press the◄ (6) or ► button (9) to navigate through the menu.
• Press the ENTER/LOCK button (5) briefly to select or confirm a menu item.
If no operation is performed for a long period of time, the display returns to normal operating
mode of indication.
b) DAB mode
Automatic channel scan
• Press and hold the MENU/INFO button (11) until „Full Scan" appears in the lower display line.
• Press the ENTER/LOCK button (5) briefly to start the channel scan.
• The device performs a channel scan in the DAB reception range, as after the initial switching on and saves
the found channels in the station list.
• During the scan, the display (3) shows the progress and the number of the channels found.
Manual channel scan
• Press and hold the MENU/INFO button (11) until „Full Scan" appears in the lower display line.
• Press and hold the◄ (6) or ►button (9), until „Manual tune" is displayed.
• Press the ENTER/LOCK button (5) briefly.
• Now you can set the reception frequency by ◄ (6) or ►buttons (9) and call up the channels detected on
it by the ENTER/LOCK button (5).
The manual channel scan is only reasonably applicable, if you know the transmission frequency
of the desired channel. If this is not the case, the automatic channel scan should be used.
Channel selection
• Press the ◄ (6) or ►buttons (9) to select the desired channel from the station list.
• Wait for a while or press the ENTER/LOCK button (5) briefly to play the selected channel.
Saving channels
• The device can save up to 10 DAB stations.
• Set the DAB station to be saved as described above.
• Press and hold the button ENTER/LOCK (5) until the list of the station memory appears on the display (3).
With empty station memory, no channel names are displayed; if a store location is already filled,
the name of the saved channel appears.
• Select the store location the ◄ (6) or ► button (9) and confirm the selection by pressing and holding the
ENTER/LOCK button (5).
• To delete a saved channel, just save another channel in the store same location.
• In order to play a saved channel, press and hold the ENTER/LOCK button (5) and select the desired
channel by ◄ (6) or ►button (9).
• Confirm the selection by pressing the ENTER/LOCK button (5) briefly.
Calling up channel information
• Press the MENU/INFO button (11) briefly to display different information of the channel just heard in the
lower display line.
• By another pressing MENU/INFO button (11) indication switches to the respective further item.
• The content of the information displayed depends on the channel.
c) FM mode
Tuning
• Press◄ (6) or ►button (9) briefly to change reception frequency stepwise and manually. Each button
press changes the reception frequency in 50 kHz steps.
• Press and hold the◄ (6) or ►button (9) to start channel scan in the respective direction.
• If a FM channel with sufficiently powerful signal is found, the scan is stopped and the channel played back.
Use manual channel scan for setting weaker channels.
Switching between stereo and mono
• Press and hold the MENU/INFO button (11) until „Set To Mono" or „Set To Auto" appears in the lower
display line
• Select the desired receiving mode with the buttons ◄ (6) or ►(9):
- „Set To Mono" to receive all channels in mono
- „Set To Auto" to switch reception mode to stereo with a sufficiently powerful signal or to mono with
weak signal
As the mono reception mode is more noise-free it is recommended in case of poor channel
reception.
• Press the ENTER/LOCK button (5) briefly to confirm the selection.
Saving channels
• The device can save up to 10 FM stations.
• Saving channels, selection and deletion of the saved channels occurs as described for the DAB mode.
Calling up channel information
• Press the MENU/INFO button (11) briefly to display different information of the channel just heard in the
lower display line.
• By another pressing MENU/INFO button (11) indication switches to the respective further item.
• The content of the information displayed depends on the channel.
d) System Settings
• Press and hold the MENU/INFO button (11) to show the menu.
• Select the desired menu item using the ◄ (6) or ►buttons (9) and press the ENTER/LOCK button (5)
to select the menu item:
„Set Language"
„System Reset"
„SW Ver. Vx.xx"
Care and cleaning
Disconnect the product from the mains supply before each cleaning procedure.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the casing or even impair operation.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable materials and do not belong in the household waste. Dispose
of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
The built-in rechargeable battery cannot be removed and must therefore be disposed along with
the device.
