Charging the built-in rechargeable battery
The USB connection at which the device is charged must have a power rating of at least
500 mA. This is normally assured at every USB connection of computers. However, the device
can also be charged with power supplies that feature USB ports.
Before using the device for the first time, the built-in rechargeable battery must be fully charged.
Charging takes about 3 hours.
Charge the battery at least once a month even if the device is not in use. This protects the
battery from damage due to total discharge and prolongs the battery life. Do not, under any
circumstances, go for more than 10 months without charging the battery.
• Connect the included USB cable to the DC 5V IN socket (8).
• Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port of a computer or into a suitable USB power supply.
• Switch on the device by sliding the ON/OFF switch (1) to the ON position.
• During the charging process, the battery status indicator flashes on the display (3).
• Once the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the battery status indicator shows the full battery symbol
on the display (3).
• Unclip the USB cable when the charging process is complete.
• The operating time with fully charged battery is about 8 hours with medium volume. Once the rechargeable
battery is discharged, the battery status indicator shows the empty battery symbol on the display (3).
Connecting the headset

The headset cable simultaneously serves as the antenna for radio reception. Therefore, the
headset must be always inserted to ensure flawless reception.
