" If trouble occurs
When this product is subjected to strong external interference (mechanical shock,
excessive static electricity, abnormal supply voltage due to lightning, etc.) or if it is
operated incorrectly, it may malfunction.
If such a problem occurs, do the following:
Clearing all the memory (reset)
1 Unplug the unit.
2 Whilst holding down the ON/STAND-BY button, plug in the AC power lead.
At this time, the unit will not be turned on.
3 Press the ON/STAND-BY button again to turn the power on.
Caution:
This operation will erase all data stored in memory and restore various settings to the
initial status (default).
" Before transporting the unit
1 Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
2 Open the disc compartment and remove the disc.
3 Close the disc compartment and enter the unit to stand-by mode.
4 After the power indicator goes off, unplug the unit.

Maintenance
" Cleaning the cabinet
Periodically wipe the cabinet with a soft
cloth and a diluted soap solution, then with
a dry cloth.
! Do not use chemicals for cleaning
(petrol, paint thinner, etc.). It may dam-
age the cabinet finish.
! Do not apply oil to the inside of the unit.
It may cause malfunctions.
" Cleaning the laser pickup lens
Do not touch the laser pickup lens. If fingerprints or dust accumulate on the pickup,
clean it gently with a dry cotton swab.

Notes:
! Close the disc compartment when it is not used.
! Be careful not to damage the optical pickup or to touch it by hand.
