PURPOSE OF THE MACHINE
The machine is intended to clean air-driven spray-guns used for painting with water-based paint systems. The fl occulation
process (according to recommendations from the paint manufacturer) allows the cleaning water to be re-used. CHECK
CAREFULLY WITH THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY TO ENSURE THAT THE FILTERED WATER OBTAINED AFTER
THE FLOCCULATION PROCESS MAY BE EMPTIED INTO THE REGULAR DRAIN-WATER SYSTEM. YOU MAY NEED
INFORMATION FROM THE PAINT MANUFACTURER WHEN DOING SO.
ASSEMBLY
The machine is delivered in a box containing one complete unit. Fit the black hoses from the footvalve (see items 2 in Picture 2).
Fit the blue blow gun hose (see item 3 in Picture 2) and the white Blow-out air line (see item 5 in Picture 2). Remove the plug on
the Blow-out air line and fi t a quick coupling to enabel connection to your spray gun.
PLACING THE UNIT
The DRESTER 1050 is equipment Category 3 (ref. ATEX-directive 94/9 EC) and may therefore be placed in locations classifi ed
as Zone 2 (ref. ATEX-directive 1999(92 EC).
Some workplaces in the United States use the Division or Zone system to designate areas subject to fl ammable vapors.
The DRESTER 1050 can be placed in locations classifi ed as Class 1, Division 2/Zone 2. If in any doubt, contact the local fi re

If your workplace is not using either of these systems, it is still your responsibility to ensure that the gun cleaner unit is properly
located.
INSTALLATION

must pass through a water trap and a fi lter, in order to prevent contamination entering the air system of the machine. Failure to fi t a
suitable water trap and fi lter can result in damage to the machine which will invalidate the warranty of the machine.
Connect the ground cable (see item 4 in Picture 2) to prevent the build up of static electricity in the machine.
This manual is part of the unit and must be kept available at all times.
PERMITTED SOLVENTS
The machine is designed for water, or water-based solvents intended for the cleaning of spray-guns that have been used for
painting with water-based paint systems. Thinner/gunwash must NOT under any circumstances be used in this machine.
