6.1.
Check the engine oil level
Note:Always switch the engine off before checking the engine
oil level.
Use 4-stroke oil. The use of SAE 10W-40 is recommended for
general use in different temperature ranges. The other vis-
cosities stated in the table can be used if the average temper-
ature in the area of application lies in the stated range.
Check the oil level
1. Unscrew the oil filler screw (fig. 11, no. 15) and clean the
dipstick (fig. 11, no. 4) with a clean cloth.
2. Insert the dipstick (fig. 11, no. 4) back into the oil filler
port (fig. 11, no. 5) without turning it. If the oil level is be-
low the bottom end of the dipstick (min.) add engine oil
to it.
3. Add engine oil until the oil reaches the top mark (max.)
of the dipstick.
4. Insert the dipstick correctly and screw it on again.
Check the fuel level
1. Check the fuel gauge (fig. 13, no. 16) and fill the fuel tank if the fuel level is too low.
2. Use unleaded petrol with min. 90 octane rating (E10 is also suitable).
3. Remove the tank cap (fig. 14, no. 17).
4. Fill with fuel to a maximum level of the bottom of the filter insert (fig. 13, no. 2).
5. Close the tank cap.
Starting the engine

1. Disconnect all consumers from
the AC connection (fig. 15, no.
12) and switch off the main
switch (fig. 15, no. 10).
2. Set the fuel cock (fig. 16, no. 7)
to "Open" ("1").
3. Set the choke lever (fig. 17, no. 8)
to "Pulled" ("1").
4. Set the starter switch (fig. 18, no.
9) to "ON" ("1").
