Lay the cable set that is marked with an R on the vehicle side to the left rear right.
a)
Disconnect 6-input housing of vehicle set from right rear parking light and then attach it to an appropriate
connection of cable set,
b)
Connect empty housing of cable set with right rear parking light.
7.
Lay the cable set that is marked with an L on the vehicle side to the left rear light.
a)
Disconnect 6-input housing of vehicle set from left rear parking light and then attach it to an appropriate
connection of cable set,
b)
Connect empty housing of cable set with left rear parking light.
c)
Only for vehicles with PDC
On the left side of the boot there is a 3-way plug. In vehicles with PDC there are 3 cables in this plug, which
should be removed with adequate tools, and plugged into the supplied 4-way plug housing as follows.
d)
Only for vehicles without PDC
On the left side of the boot there is a 3-way plug. In vehicles without PDC there are two cables in this plug,
which should be removed with adequate tools, and plugged into the supplied 4-way plug housing as follows.
Vehicles with 12V connector on the left side of the boot

Connect the 4-way plug that was installed under point 7c) with the corresponding plug of the cable set. The remaining
plug of the cable set is connected to the 12V connector.

Vehicles with 12V connector on the left side of the boot
Connect the 4-way plug that was installed under point 7c) with the corresponding plug of the cable set. The remaining

plug of the 3-way plug housing is not connected.

Connect brown, white/brown cables to an appropriate earth point (if necessary, fasten to earth
point inside vehicle or use metal-sheet screw).
Connect the attached modules with the 14-P connector of the wiring kit and fix at an appropriate location with M5x10
screws and band clamps. Take special precautions, regarding module protection against humidity (risk of short-
circuit).
Trailer indicator defect is signalled by a control light of the vehicle by increased flashing frequency!!
Trailer power supply:
3-pin connector housing (red/blue,yellow, and white/brown cables) is provided for expanded socket functions. Put this
part of cable set behind the trim. To expand socket functions it is necessary to order the following parts:
Function "current supply and earth"
Function "current supply, charge line and earth" part no. 99 06 99
Secure the cable set with supplied cable ties, re-install all trims and other parts which were removed during
