must be removed, when possible, from the equipment before it is given as waste. The user can, therefore,
confer the equipment and any battery at the end of its life free to charge to the appropriate commercial
centers for the separate collection of electrical and electronic waste. Alternatively the user can return them
to the retailer according to the following methods: for portable batteries and small equipments, or with at
least one external side not exceeding 25 cm, free delivery is required without the obligation to purchase
from stores with a sales area of electrical and electronic equipment over 400 square meters. For smaller
stores, this mode is optional. For equipment over 25 cm in size, delivery is available at all points of sale
1-on-1 mode, or delivery to the retailer can only take place at the time of purchase of any equivalent
product, on a one-to-one basis. The batteries (not supplied with the machine for E1200L-E1200XL-E4800L
E4800XL-E4800L HD-E4800XL HD) must be disposedof in accordance with the laws in force in the country
of the user. The appropriate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment and the
batteries/accumulators disposed of for recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal, helps
to avoid possible negatives effects on the environment and on health and promotes the reuse and/or
recycling of the materials they are made of. Unauthorized disposal of equipment, batteries and accumulators
by the user entails the application of the sanctions referred to in the current legislation. AEE placed on the
market after 13 August 2005.
11. WARRANTY

The ACTIVE company guarantees this product for 1 YEAR starting from the purchase date as indicated in
the WARRANTY CARD. The guarantee covers manufacturing and materials defects and is limited to the
substitution of parts. The warranty is valid for 2 years in case of purchase and utilisation by a private
person (upon presentation of the sale slip).
The guarantee does not cover the manpower, the shipping costs and the costs related to the non
utilisation of the machine.
The guarantee does not cover those parts which are subject to wear due to the normal utilisation of the
machine: small carbon tubes, cable, flexible cables, ON-OFF switch, driving belt, connectors, battery (if
not new).
The guarantee will not be granted in the following cases:
The user has not properly followed the instructions contained in the present operation manual.
The machine has been used for applications different from the ones for which it was designed.
Damages occur for incorrect use of the machine from the owner or from other people.
Repairs have been performed by not qualified people
Original spare parts have not been utilised.
Damages are caused by poor maintenance or improper use of the user.
The battery has not been charged every three months, as recommended in this manual.
IMPORTANT
This warranty will be applied only if the buyer will fill in the WARRANTY CARD in all requested blanks
indicating the Serial number, the purchase date (corresponding to the sale document) and the mark of
the dealer. The dealer will have to hold the warranty card and the buyer will have to hold a copy of it and
a copy of the sale document. In case of warranty claims the buyer will have to give these documents to
the dealer together with the machine. If these documents are missing the machine will be considered out
of warranty.
