FIGURE 1
1. TIMER SPOT: Sets the maximum welding time
between 0 and 20 sec (if the torch button is held down
for a longer time, the welding stops automatically)
2. 2T/4T OPERATING MODE SELECTOR:
- When the 2T mode is selected (two-stroke – LED
5 OFF), the welding and wire feed occurs when
the torch button is pressed.
- When the 4T mode is selected (4-stroke – LED 5 ON),
the welding and wire feed begins on the first pressing of
the torch button and stops on the second pressing.
The lighting up of LED 11 indicates the 4-stroke
operating mode.
3. BURN BACK: Accurately adjusts the time during
which the current is maintained in the welding circuit
after the torch button is released (this time allows safely
separating the electrode from the workpiece).
The adjustment must be made with a screwdriver,
preferably in plastic (increase the time by turning in a
clockwise direction, and decrease by turning in a
counter-clockwise direction).
4. SOFT START: Sets the departure ramp of the
wire speed: use a screwdriver (preferably in pla-
stic) to set the ramp time (the time is increased by
turning in a clockwise direction). Allows the wire to
come out of the torch slowly, especially useful for
highly resistive wires (such as aluminium).
5. WIRE SPEED CONTROL: Sets the outfeed
speed of the wire by controlling the motor speed.
6. SIGNALLING OF MACHINE IN OPERATION
7.THERMAL PROTECTION INDICATING LIGHT:
Turns on when the machine overheats, and at the
same time interrupts the output voltage. This nor-
mally occurs if the duty cycle of the machine has
been exceeded. Make sure the air grills located on
the back and front of the machine are not obstruc-
ted and leave the machine turned on to allow the
internal components to cool down; the normal wel-
ding operations can resume when this indicating
light turns off (only for TM 350, TM 320W, TM 360W,
TM 420W, TM 500W, TM 650W).

If the welding machine is equipped with a cooling
unit, the lighting of the LED may also indicate that
the cooling liquid is not circulating properly in the
circuit. In this case, purge the circuit.
8. DISPLAY showing the welding value or wel-
ding voltage (only for TM 350, TM 320W, TM 360W,
TM 420W, TM 500W, TM 650W); press button 9 to
changeover between the current value and volta-
ge value.
9. VOLTAGE/CURRENT SWITCHING BUTTON
(see point 8).
10. WIRE FEED BUTTON: Allows feeding the
welding wire without pressing the torch button.
11. 4T LED: This light turns on when the machine
is operating in 4T mode.
12. H²O in: To be used only with liquid cooling
torches.
13. Air grills (must never be obstructed).
14. TORCH QUICK CONNECTOR: Output con-
nection (positive) for the connector (Euro-type) of
the welding torch allows the electrical contacts
and for the gas.
15. ON-OFF SWITCH: Turns the machine on and off.

:
SWITCH VOLTAGE 230V-400V: Allows you to set
the machine according to the mains. (see par.9)
16. SWITCH FOR CHANGING WELDING
LEVELS: Allows selecting the welding current
depending on the thickness of the workpiece and
diameter of the wire used.
17. WELDING CURRENT END-OF-RANGE
SWITCH:
TM 230: None
TM 260: None
TM 300 - TM 350 - TM 320W - TM 360W :
- in the MIN position, turn switch 16 to adjust the
welding current from the minimum value up to
about half of the maximum value.
- in the MAX position, turn switch 16 to adjust the
welding current from the minimum value up to
about half of the maximum value.
TM 420W - TM 500W - TM 650W:
- in the MIN position, turn switch 16 to adjust the
welding current from the minimum value up to
about 1/3 of the maximum value.
- in the MED position, turn switch 16 to adjust the
welding current from the value of about 1/3 of the
maximum value up to around 2/3.
- in the MAX position, turn switch 16 to adjust the
welding current from the value of about 2/3 up to
the maximum value.
TM 650W:
The combination of the 7 positions of switch 16
and the three positions of switch 17 allows choo-
sing between 21 possible welding currents.
TM 300-TM 350-TM 320W-TM 360W:
The combination of the 10 positions of switch 16
and the two positions of switch 17 allows choosing
between 20 possible welding currents.
TM 420W-TM 500W:
The combination of the 10 positions of switch 16
and the three positions of switch 17 allows choo-
sing between 30 possible welding currents.
