Rewinding the Web Strap
1. To rewind the web strap, shift ratchet switch toward the "U" on the handle.
2. Use handle to ratchet the web strap back onto the drum. NOTE: If there is no tension on the web strap, it is
recommended to use the drum knob to wind up the strap.
3. For faster return, shift ratchet switch to neutral or the "N" position, and manually rotate the drum knob in the
direction of the "U" or up position.
WARNING: Do NOT attempt to manually unwind the drum if a load is attached.
WARNING: If the strap is wound in the wrong direction, the hoist WILL NOT hold a load, and the strap will
unwind when tension is applied.
CAUTION: Ensure the take-up of the web strap onto the drum is always in the up direction,
or towards the "U".
The web strap must be wound in the proper direction for the hoist to function properly. If the strap is wound
incorrectly the hoist WILL NOT hold a load and the strap will unwind when tension is applied. This can happen when
the strap is unwound completely and rewound in the wrong direction.
When the web strap is completely spooled out, turn the knob or handle in the counterclockwise direction ("U" direction
marked on knob) to rewind the web strap. When attempting to rewind in the wrong direction, a warning label will be
exposed. See below.
