• Measure dimension "H" and check that the ZOOM fits into this
dimension (See FIG. 6).
Note: ZOOM 225 NXL - 245 NS: select the suitable telescopic flange
(M76 or M126). Insert it into the casing by successively pushing and
rotating.
• If the adjustable flange is jammed (due to a long storage period),
it must be released by applying slight rotations by hand (maximum
amplitude of 10°) before applying tensile force by lightly tapping
with a mallet.
Fitting the ZOOM
- Thoroughly clean the mating faces on the mating flanges.
- Mount the circulating pump with the flange side attached to the
discharge mating flange, after positioning the seal.
- Tighten the attaching bolts with moderate force. (The same proce-
dure should be followed if the circulating pump is to be fitted on a
horizontal pipe).
- Position the seal on the other mating flange, on the suction side.
- Slide the adjustable flange to place it in contact with the seal.
- Tighten the attaching bolts.
- Check that the motor shaft is correctly horizontal. (See FIG. 5).
- Open the circulating pump isolating valves.
- Slightly loosen the plug (according to the type) to allow the
bleeding of air.
- Screw the plug back into place after bleeding.
If the installation must be rinsed, never use
C UTION!
chemical products (dilute hydrochloric acid,
trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene, etc.) which may damage the
circulating pump. Use clean water.
5.4 Electrical connections
Electrical connections and checks must be made by an
approved electrician in compliance with the applicable
local standards.
ZOOM 225 NXL - 245 NS - 260 NS - 260 NL
- Check that the electrical installation complies with standard NFC
15100, i.e. that it is equipped with power connectors fitted with an
earth terminal. Check that the electrical connections are protec-
ted from any dampness.
- The circulating pump must be connected to the electric mains
using a switch with a contact opening distance of at least 3 mm for
each pole.
- The motor is self-protected by impedance and, therefore, does not
require any external protective device. Check the voltage and fre-
quency on the mains system.
- Connect the earth ( ), the phase (L) and neutral (N) on the
corresponding terminals of the circulating pump.
- The power cable must not come into contact with the motor casing
or the hydraulic casing.
- ll the necessary electrical information on the circulating pump is
indicated on its identification plate.
ZOOM 300 L - 300 NB T2 - 300 NB T4 - 320 C
- Provide for a master switch and an electrical protection device for
the motor.
- Provide for a 10
line protection for the motor (zoom 320 C only).
ZOOM 300 L: connect the earth ( ),the phase (L) and neutral (N) onto
the corresponding terminals of the circulating pump.
ZOOM 300 NB T2 or T4: connect the earth ( ) and the three phases to
terminals U1 - V1 - W1.
ZOOM 320 C: connect the earth ( ) and the three phases to terminals
L1, L2 and L3.
Note: terminals 10 to 15 can be connected to provide fault informa-
tion (dry contact, opening type 250 V - 1 ).
6. ST RTING UP
C UTION!
Never operate the circulating pump without water.
6.1 Filling and degassing
fter filling the installation with water, proceed with degassing of the
motor (except in the case of ZOOM 320 C which is equipped with
automatic degassing).
Bleed the system at its high point.
6.2 djustments
Checking the direction of rotation
ZOOM 300 NB T2 - 300 NB T4
Unscrew the motor bleed plug. The direction of rotation of the shaft
must be the same as the direction shown on the identification plate.
If this is not the case, invert the two power supply wires or, in the case
of single-phase operation, change the connection of the capacitors
cable from V1 to U1. (See FIG. 3).
ZOOM 320 C
Carry out this operation using the diodes located inside the terminal
box. The direction of the arrow shown by the terminal box diode must
be the same as that marked on the identification plate. If this is not
the case, invert the two power supply wires. (See FIG. 4).
djusting the pump output
ZOOM 245 NS - 260 NS - 225 NXL - 260 NL - 300 L
This adjustment is made using the selector or the variable speed
controller. (See FIG. 1).
ZOOM 300 NB T2 - 300 NB T4
This adjustment is made by changing the position of the strips.
(See FIG. 2 and 3).
ZOOM 320 C
This adjustment is made using the voltage/speed selector (See FIG. 4)
and the variable hydraulic controller. (See FIG. 1).
7. M INTEN NCE
The circulating pump does not require any special maintenance
during operation. The motor bearings are lubricated by the fluid
conveyed.
t the beginning of each heating period or after a long shutdown
period, check that the circulating pump starts up without difficulty.
(See OPER TING F ILURES).
