6 - Precautions to be taken
Do not fill the pressure cooker beyond 2/3 of its capacity.
Do not fill the pressure cooker to more than one third of its capacity, when cooking foods
that expand during cooking, such as rice or dehydrated vegetables.
When cooking mushy food, gently shake the pressure cooker before opening the lid to
avoid any spurting.
Reduce the heat source as soon as the right pressure is reached. You will avoid burning
the food if the minimum of steam is released.
Before each use, check that the valves are not obstructed.

Never use your pressure cooker without adding water as this will cause serious damage.
Use the appropriate heat source(s) according to the instructions for use
GAS – The flames should not extend beyond the pressure cooker base
ELECTRIC– INDUCTION - VITROCERAMIC HOBS - The hotplate should be of the same or
smaller diameter than the pressure cooker base.
Do not tamper with any of the safety systems but adhere to the maintenance instructions
specified in the paragraph 7 «Cleaning and maintenance care».
This appliance cooks under pressure. Inappropriate use of the pressure cooker may result
in scalding.
The various safety systems of the pressure cooker make for the safe cooking.
Security against overpressure – In the unlikely event of the rotating valve
- First device – The security valve releases the excess pressure
- Second device – A small amount of pressure will be released between the lid and the
body and warp the crosspiece.
