Operating Instruction
ATTENTION
EN
With Method 1 the voltage and

current are directly supplied by
the battery connected to the tester.
Check that the test load (test
component) can withstand such
a voltage level. If the tester is for
example connected to a 12 V lead
acid battery, it must be ensured
that the test load involves a 12 V
component.
It must be ensured that the current

ofthetestloadis<5A.

switch to the measurement
range for current measurement.
b. Disconnect the negative terminal from
the test load.
c. Connect the probe to the negative pole of
the test load and connect the additional
earth terminal to the earth of the circuit.
d. Push the SWITCH FOR THE POWER SUP-
PLY backwards and read the value off the
screen.
Operating Instruction
5. Activation and operation
of electric components
This function can be activated at any

time if the SWITCH FOR THE POWER
SUPPLY has been pressed.
Push the SWITCH FOR THE POWER SUP-

PLY forwards to apply positive voltage
to the probe. The display for positive
polarity lights up (red colour).
Push the SWITCH FOR THE POWER SUP-

PLY backwards to apply negative voltage
to the probe. The display for negative
polarity lights up (green colour). The val-
ue of the voltage provided depends on
the supply voltage level. If for example a
12 V battery is used to provide the supply
voltage, the voltage provided will be 12 V.
6. Temperature measurement
Use of the temperature probe
Probe:

Measure the voltage and temperature
in the circuit simultaneously, checking
at the same time that the circuit is not
overloaded. Do not use this probe to
measure the temperature of liquids.
Thermocouple:

For more precise temperature meas-
urement please use the thermocouple.
Users can also measure the temperature
of liquids with the thermocouple.
IV. IMPORTANT:
If no power is supplied although the

SWITCH FOR THE POWER SUPPLY has
been pressed, please check the fuse in
the fuse compartment.

High temperatures generally occur during

a short circuit. To avoid burns, do not
touch either the probe or any metal con-
ductor of the tester in the shorted state.
Test the circuit before pressing the

SWITCH FOR THE POWER SUPPLY and
check that the parts to be tested can
withstand the voltage. If this is not the
case, do not press the switch or the parts
to be tested will be damaged.
