c) Connecting the power supply to the control unit
• Connect the flange sleeves on the control unit to the power adapter used by you.
The inner contact of the flange sleeve must be connected to the positive pole (+) of the power
supply, the outer contact to the negative pole (-) of the power supply.
• The required voltage of the power supply is aligned to the LED strip used. However many
LED strips work at +12 V however, some also at +24 V.
Please also note the information about the LED strip used by you.
The LED strip is destroyed if the LED strip requires a voltage of 12V and you con-
nect a 24 V power supply to the control unit.
• The output current of the power supply required is aligned to the number of LEDs on the LED
strip and the power consumption of this.
d) Insert the battery into the IR remote control.
• Open the battery compartment at the rear of the IR remote control and insert a type "CR2025"
battery with the correct polarity (please note: plus/+ and minus/-) Close the battery compart-
ment.
The battery is possibly already found in the battery compartment. If a plastic protec-
tive strip protrudes from the battery compartment completely pull this out. It prevents
the premature discharge of the battery.
• The battery should be changed if the range of the IR remote control decreases or if the
control unit no longer responds to the IR remote control.
Basic functions of the IR remote control
Direct the LED on the front of the IR remote control to the IR receiver of the control unit and
press the corresponding button.

Set/call up individual light colors
a) Set /save light color
It is possible to set and save up to 6 individual light colors. Proceed as follows to do so:
• Briefly press one of the "DIY1" ..... "DIY6" buttons.
The LEDs correspondingly light up if a light color is saved. If no light color is saved all LEDs
are out.
• Select any light color with the 6 color arrows which are located above the "DIY" buttons.
The brightness of the respective LED color is increased with " " , reduced with " "(red
arrow = red light component, green arrow = green light component, blue arrow = blue light
component).
• Each change is automatically saved.
The light colors saved by you are also maintained if the the control unit is separated
from the power supply.
b) Call up saved light color
• Briefly press one of the "DIY1" ..... "DIY6" buttons.
The LEDs correspondingly light up if a light color is already stored. All LEDs are off if no light
color is stored.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Apart from the occasional battery change the IR remote control is maintenance free.
• Clean the exterior of the product using a clean, soft, dry cloth only.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since this could penetrate the cas-
ing (discolorations) or affect the functionality .
Disposal
a) General
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable
regulatory guidelines.
Remove the battery inserted into the remote control and dispose of it separately
from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/re-
chargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labeled with this symbol to indi-
cate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead.
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our
stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
