Battery instructions
Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around. There is a risk that children or pets swallow batteries. If
a battery has been swallowed, seek medical advice immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns when in contact with skin. You should thus
wear suitable gloves in such a case.
• Chemicals running out of batteries/rechargeable batteries are very aggressive. Objects or
surfaces which can come into contact with it can sometimes be extensively damaged. For
that reason, store batteries at a suitable place.
• Do not short-circuit and disassemble batteries. Do not throw into fire. There is a risk of explo-
sion!
• Do not recharge common batteries that are not rechargeable. There is a risk of explosion!
• Please note the correct polarity (plus/+ and Minus/-) when inserting the battery in to the IR
remote control.
Installation and startup
a) Attaching the control unit
• The control unit can be screwed on via two eyelet loops found on the side of the housing. It
can also be attached with the cable tie or with double sided adhesive tape depending on the
installation site
Ensure that no cables or lines are damaged during drilling or screwing when screwing on the
control unit.
• Attach the IR receiver of the control unit to a suitable point, e.g. with a strip of adhesive tape
or a cable tie.
b) Connecting a RGB LED strip
Connect the LED strip used by you with theto the four polar
connection of the control unit . Please ensure the correct
polarity.
Safe operation is no longer guaranteed when:
- the product shows obvious damage
- the product does not work properly or at all (flickering light, emitting smoke or
smell of burning, audible crackling noise, discoloration of the product or adjacent
surfaces)
- the power supply was stored for an extended period under adverse conditions or
- if the product was damaged during transport.
Ensure that the IR receiver of the control unit is positioned in such a way that a
perfect reception of the control signals of the IR remote control is possible before
installation.
A direct line of sight between the IR LED of the IR remote control and the IR receiver
is advantageous however, not mandatory. The IR light (visible to the human eye) of
the IR remote control is reflected on many surfaces.
Before final installation of the control unit or the IR receiver check whether a function
is specified.
The control unit can only be operated with RGB LED strips with joint anodes.
For instance the four connections of such LED strips are indicated with "+BGR" (the
"+" indicates the joint anodes). "VCC" is also specified on the LED strip instead of
"+".
The sequence of LED color information ("R" = red, "B" = blue, "G" = green) depends
on the LED strip.
Other LED strips should not be connected to the control unit. No LED strips with
integrated digital control can be operated with the control unit.
Only the LEDs and the series resistors may be located on the strip used, but no
other electronics.
If this is not observed there is the risk of destroying the LED strip and the control unit.
The four polar plug of the control unit is marked with an arrow symbol.
This arrow symbol indicates the joint anodes and the "+" connection for the LED
strip.
If the correct colors do not light up later you must change the "R", "B" and "G" cables
between the plug and the control unit and the LED strip used by you. Produce a suit-
able intermediate space yourself.
