3 Application
3.1 Indications for use
The system knee joints are to be used exclusively for the orthotic fitting of
the lower limbs on a patient.
The 17B206 medial support may only be used in an E-MAG Active orthosis
for additional medial stabilisation. Using the medial support is mandatory for
a patient weight over 85 kg up to a maximum of 100 kg. The 647G1165
instructions for use must be observed.

5 Preparation for use
5.1 Mounting the accesories
Additional mounting material and tools required: 2x 17LS3=16(-T)

lamination bars, Loctite® 241 adhesive.
1) Integrate the medial support in the orthosis being fabricated. Use the
dummy for installation in the orthosis.
2) For trial fitting, attach the medial support to the orthosis using the
screws (torque value 6 Nm).
3) Upon completion of the orthosis, attach the medial support to the orthos­
is using the screws and secure the screw connections with Loctite® 241
(torque value 6 Nm).
