Extinguishing
NEVER USE: refuse, bits of chipboard, damp wood, wood treated with a wood-protection product, painted or
varnished wood, paper and cardboard.
You are advised to use special firelighters or a small quantity of wood
shavings to light the fire. Never use flammable liquids to light the fire!
When you light the stove for the first time...
♦
you should remove the shipping packaging (fig. 6).
1.3
USE
♦
Open the door by pulling the door handle upwards (fig. 2).
If the stove is hot, you can use insulating gloves.
♦
Open the primary combustion air regulator (fig. 3).
♦
Place firelighters or wood shavings (no paper!) on the grate. Now place small pieces of wood on top, and
then larger pieces. Light the fire and close the door. When the wood is burning rapidly and producing
enough glowing ash, you can add more wood to the fire. Now adjust the primary combustion air regulator
as indicated in the table under point 1.1.
♦
When you light the stove for the first time the fire may not burn too intensely, in order to allow the lacquer
layer of the stove to adjust to the heat. It is completely normal - and not at all dangerous - for the stove to
give off a little smoke.
1.4
Extinguishing
♦
Let the smouldering ashes die down and allow the stove to cool down.
♦
Empty the combustion chamber and the ash pan!
♦
Close the door(s) and set the primary combustion air regulator to l and the fuel selector to K.
