10. Maintenance
The reliability and complete automation of moving
parts, enable a low degree of routine maintenance that
is however crucial to be performed within the required
times. Failure to perform maintenance, in addition to
compromising operation and duration of the compres-
sor also invalidates the warranty. In order to maintain
the efficiency and safety of the equipment, the follow-
ing activities must be performed throughout the life of
the machine.
WARNING
EN
Operations on the unit can only be performed by
specialised and authorised personnel.
WARNING
Disconnect the power supply before performing
any intervention on the unit.
Maintenance intervals
Monthly: check that the exchangers, fan and filter pro-
tection grids (if present) are clean and that dirt does not
prevent passage of air. Check that no abnormal noises
are present during operation. Check that the unit con-
densate discharge is perfectly free and Functioning.
Every six months: Check that the motors of the fans
and of the other components do not show abnormal
vibrations or show signs of overheating.
Yearly: Check that the electrical connections are tight,
that the electrical components are functioning and in
good condition. Also check that the control board oper-
ates correctly. Clean the inside of the system.
If the unit operates in particularly dusty environments
or if experience requires more frequent cleaning, it is
essential to perform them as needed. After every rou-
tine or extraordinary maintenance, check the perfect
efficiency of the condensate discharge.
WARNING
When the refrigerant load is greater than 3 kg, it
is mandatory to check the presence of refrigerant
leaks according to European Standard 517/2014
(F-gas).
Qualified
(according to Reg. 303/2008) provide regular seal
checks (according to Reg. 1516/2007 and Reg.
1497/2007) and keep recordings of maintenance
activities in a specific log register.
Replacing components: it is recommended to replace
t he fans after 30,000 hours of operation.

General cleaning of the appliance
WARNING
Do not use acidic or caustic or flammable sub-
stances. The use of an unsuitable detergent may
cause damage to the air conditioner.
During cleaning wear goggles, rubber cut-resistant
gloves compatible with the detergent used and acci-
dent-prevention shoes. Filter cleaning (if present) must
be performed after removing it from the air condition-
er. If you decide to replace it, only use ELDON original
components. Cleaning the components inside the air
conditioner, on the room side or on the cabinet side,
must be performed with unit properly connected to the
ground, with air pressure not higher than 4 bar in the
opposite direction of the air flow that normally passes
through it or, in case of more persistent dirt, non-flam-
mable cleaning fluid, paying attention not touch the
electrical connections present. Finally also check pipe
insulation.
Idle stops
If the unit remains idle for a long time, it is necessary to
discharge any condensate residues and perform gen-
eral cleaning.
11. Device disposal
WARNING
Disposal of these units must be carried out by
authorised and specialised personnel. Before start-
ing to dismantle the unit, make sure that it has been
disconnected from the electrical power supply.
The instructions to correctly dispose of the unit during
the various stages of its life are provided below.
Once the materials have been separated as indicated
below, they must be assigned the CER codes and then
sent for disposal in accordance with the national legis-
lation in force.
Disposal operations pertaining to the unit purchased
take place over three time periods:
1. Disposal of the packaging used for shipping the unit.
2. Disposal of the substances or components poten-
tially replaced during routine or special maintenance
operations.
3. Disposal of the unit at the end of its lifespan.
In order to correctly and safely perform the disposal
activities, the operator must equip themselves with the
required PPE.
