This manual and the rest of the document must be
kept by the customer and kept at the hand of instal-
lation, commissioning, use and maintenance per-
sonnel. The manufacturer is not responsible for any
use other than the intended use of the product or
its improper use, as well as unauthorised changes
and failure to observe the described instructions.

General safety regulations to be observed when
operating on the equipment
• Disconnect power to the unit before operating.
• Make sure that the condensers connected to the
deactivated circuit are discharged.
• Remove the fuses only after the circuit has been
switched off.
• The work area is clean and dry and remove plugs,
rings, brackets or metal parts that may hinder the inter-
vention or become potential electrical conductors.
• Make sure that the assigned personnel is fully aware
of the equipment components, circuits where there is
voltage and maintenance procedures before making
the intervention.
• The intervention procedures are verified by check-

ing the wiring diagram and viewing how the system is
structured.
• Check the tools and conductor wires periodically.
• Do not use magnetic tools near strong magnetic
fields.
• Do not carry objects that can act as conductors.
• The work tools are suitable for intervention and in
good condition to allow safe operation and the meas-
uring tools are periodically calibrated.
• The instrument terminals are earthed before per-
forming measurements on live circuits.
• The maintenance intervention can only be con-
sidered completed when all components have been
reinstalled and the equipment has taken up its original
appearance again.

3. Unpacking and checking

ELDON products are shipped with delivery ex-works.
All units have been individually checked in their entire-
ty and carefully packaged. Immediately check the
unit as soon as it arrives, making sure that it has been
transported in the correct position. Otherwise, mark
it on the transport document. Remove the packag-
ing and check that the external body does not contain
any blows, scratches or marks, and check that all the
items shown in the transport document are present.
Check that damage or oil stains are absent, if pre-
sent, report it immediately on the transport document.
It is recommended to accept the goods subject to
inspection. Any damage found must be highlighted to
the courier by registered letter within 8 days of recep-
tion. The carrier is responsible for any damage occurred
during transport. ELDON shall not be liable for dam-
ages caused by the carrier to the items, although it
shall support the customer in this instance. The product
may not be returned without the approval of ELDON.
Contact the AfterSales office for support. If the prod-
uct does not have to be immediately installed or has to
be transported to the final destination, after the check,
put it back in its packaging and store it in a protected
location. Warehousing limits are provided in chapter 14.
