always operational except for the following: if the unit
is in OFF status, if the remote command input is open
or if there are alarms that require it to be deactivated. In
the first two cases, the fan switches off after the delay
time on shutdown has elapsed. If the heater is enabled,
the fan turns on and off along with it. When the fan
activates, the inhibition time is reset and the counting
resumes at the time of shutdown.

the fan only turns on when cooling or heating is active.
Once the cooling or heating cycle has ended, the fan
switches off after the delay time on shutdown has
elapsed. The fan is also switched off in the following
cases: if the unit is in OFF status, if the remote com-
mand input is open or if there are alarms that require it
to be deactivated. In the first two cases, the fan switch-
es off after the delay time on shutdown has elapsed.
– Condenser fan management: the fan will only be
active when the compressor is running. The standard
condenser fan has no control, if the unit is in Low Noise
version, fan speed is proportionally adjusted accord-
ing to the value read by the analogue input B4. It will
be deactivated if the unit is in OFF status, if the remote
command input is open or if there are alarms that
require it to be deactivated.
• Sequencing function: it provides the option of mak-
ing two units installed in the same cabinet communi-
cate with each other. It allows automatic rotation to bal-
ance the hours of operation, mutual support in case an
alarm is present on a unit that prevents operation or the
cabinet temperature exceeds the temperature thresh-
old for activation of the second unit. The operating time
of a machine is defined through the ΠOT parameter.
The parameter ΠΠ indicates which unit operates first.
The high pressure and phase sequence alarms deac-
tivate the digital input DI4 which connects the 2 units.
The unit functioning will display the
master machine and flashing for the slave).
– Modbus function (with ACASPM accessory): through
the serial port it is possible to read the variables and
the setup parameters through a supervision system on
modbus RTU protocol. The serial address of the unit is
selected through the Adr parameter.
Testing mode
It can only beactivated in ON status and by pressing the
keys [1] and [4] simultaneously for 5 seconds. By press-
ing the keys [3] and [4] it is possible to move to the dif-
ferent steps of the procedure:
1. Activation of the evaporator fan in "always operating"
mode and display of the flashing "FAn" message.
2. No function, go to point 3.
3. Activation of the compressor and of the condenser
fan and display of the flashing "CPr" message.
4. Deactivation of the compressor and of the condens-

er fan and activation of the heating element (if present)
and display of the flashing "Htr" message.
5. Exiting the testing procedure and returning to normal
operation.
The safety, high pressure, phase sequence and high
suction temperature alarms are enabled. If the staying
time within a step is greater than or equal to 30 minutes
or if the controller is reactivated, the testing mode auto-
matically exited.
Alarms
High temperature (HA): the alarm is activated when the
temperature is greater than or equal to the value [ALU],
it is deactivated at the value [ALU]–5. For CV(E/O)60,
CV(E/O)4000 it may be caused by an incorrect phase
sequence.
Low temperature (LA): the alarm is activated when the
temperature is less than or equal to the value [ALL], it is
deactivated at the value [ALL]+5.
High pressure (HP) (only CE versions): if the pressure
switch contact opens, the compressor and the con-
denser fan are switched off.
Internal temperature probe (P1): in case of probe
fault, after approximately 10 seconds, the compressor,
the condenser and evaporator fans and the heater (if
present) are switched off.
Faulty condensation pressure probe (P4): in case of
probe fault, after approximately 10 seconds, the com-
pressor, the condenser and evaporator fans and the
heater (if present) are switched off.
Phase sequence (SEC) (only with integrated option):
If the relay contact opens, the compressor, the con-
denser and evaporator fans and the heater (if present)
are switched off.
High suction temperature (HAS), (only for three-
phase models, except CV(E/O)60, CV(E/O)4000):
if after 30 sec. after when the compressor is switched
on, the probe on the suction pipe detects an abnor-
mal temperature, the compressor, the condenser and
evaporator fans and the heater (if present) are switched
off. Check correct phase sequence if the alarm is pre-
sent. The alarm must be reset manually by pressing the
[4] key for 3 seconds (required condition: the tempera-
ture read by the probe must be correct, the condition is
also subject to room temperature).
Stand-by status (Stb): the alarm is present in case of
stand-by and the AdO parameter set as "Yes". When the
alarm is active, the display shows "Stb" for 2 seconds
statically and for 2 seconds flashing
B3 probe alarm (P3): if the probe B3 is faulty or not
operational, not present for the CUVN40 and CUON40.
