2.5.1. Important information to note before
diving:
• Check the area around the battery compartment.
Remove any dirt, sand or other particles with a dry
cloth.
• Ensure that the battery compartment is not
scratched or cracked.
• Ensure that there are no cracks in the camera.
• Check that the battery compartment cover is firm-
ly closed.
• Do not throw the camera into the water or jump
into the water while holding the camera as the
force of such movements may cause water to pen-
etrate inside the camera.
