REASSEMBLE THE SHREDDING OPENING (Fig.1)
Place the filling hopper and deflector on the top flange of the
shredder intake opening. Screw the filling hopper tight with 4
hexagon screws through the hopper flange, the deflector and
the intake opening flange.
Place the feed intake tube with filling hopper on the
shredder housing in such a way that the two holes of upper
bracket tongues fit into the corresponding holes of lower
bracket tongues on shredder housing.
Screw the intake opening tight with two hexagon screws, 4
nylon bushes and 2 lock nuts through four holes.
Lock the feed intake tube to shredder housing by locking
handle.
ATTENTION:It is not possible to use the
shredder without the feed intake tube in
right place,
the current to the motor. If the motor still
continues to run after the feed intake
opening has been removed, the safety
switch should be check by an expert.
WARNING:Switch off, remove plug from mains before adjusting,
cleaning or if cable is cut, damaged or entangled.
CAUTION:do not touch rotating blades.
1.For electric motor operation:Check the connection lead regularly for signs of damage and ageing only
use if it is in perfect condition.
Keep connecting cables away from the ejector device. Switch off motor and remove plug before working
in the shredder disc, checking the connecting and cleaning the devices.
The couplings of the connection cable must be made of rubber or covered with rubber and must comply
with the DIN/VDE 0620 standard.
The connection socket must be provided with a slow-blowing 16 amp fuse.
The electrical fittings of the waste shredder should not be altered.
Any damages parts must be replaced.
If the shredder is left for any length of time the plug should always be removed from the mains socket.
Make sure that the cable is not bent or caught.
It is recommended that residual current devices with a nominal fault current of a maximum 0.03 amperes
or similar protective devices be used fault current breaker with a maximum release current of 30 mA
is connected upstream.
Note:The plug of the connecting cable must be protected from splash water. For warranty and safety reasons
only original KIVA parts, in particular shredder blade, are to be used.
