Read the instructions, keep them safe, pass them on if you pass the appliance on. Remove all
packaging before use.
A IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Follow basic safety precautions, including:
1 This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been supervised/instructed and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of children under 8
years.
¬ The surfaces of the appliance will get hot.
2 If you overfill, the kettle may spit boiling water.
3 Use the kettle only with the stand supplied (and vice versa).
4 If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service agent, or someone similarly qualified, to avoid hazard.
H Don't put the kettle, stand, cable, or plug in any liquid.
5 Keep the kettle, stand, and cable away from the edges of worktops.
6 Don't use the kettle for any purpose other than heating water.
7 Don't operate the appliance if it's damaged or malfunctions.
Z SLEEP MODE
• After 5 minutes of inactivity, the appliance will go to sleep.
• Press any button to wake the appliance. All the buttons will flash.
• To save electricity, unplug the stand.
U BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this three times, to remove manufacturing
dust, etc.
C FILLING
1 Remove the kettle from the stand.
2 Press the lid lock to open the lid.
3 Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above max.
4 Close the lid, and press down to lock it.
C SWITCHING ON
5 Put the stand on a stable, level surface.
6 Plug the stand into the wall socket. All the buttons will flash.
7 Put the kettle on the stand.
b VARIABLE TEMPERATURE
8 The temperatures available are: 100 (boil), 90 (coffee), 80, and 70 (that's °C).
9 Press the button marked with the temperature you want. The button will glow.
