carefully. To avoid damage to the unit and the risk of
injury, only use this product as described in the ma-
nual. Keep the instruction manual handy so that you
can easily look up information on all the functions.

Intended use
This product is intended only for private use. It was
developed for experimentation with everyday na-
tural phenomena.
General Warning

Never use this device to look directly at
the sun or in the direct proximity of
the sun. There is a RISK OF BLINDNESS!

Children should only use the device un-
der adult supervision. Keep packaging
material (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) out of
the reach of children! There is a RISK OF CHO-
KING!

Do not place the device — in particular the
lenses — in direct sunlight. The concent-
ration of light could cause fire.

Do not disassemble the device. In the
event of a defect, please contact your
dealer. He will contact the Service Centre and can
send the device in to be repaired, if necessary.
Do not expose the device to temperatures above
40°C.
OPERATInG InSTRuCTIOnS
Adjust the distance between your eyes:
The distance between the eyes, called „interpu-
pillary distance" varies from person to person.
To achieve perfect aligament of lens to eye hold
your binoculars in the normal viewing position.
Grasp each barrel firmly. Move the barrels closer
together or further apart until you see a single
circular field. Always re-set your binoculars to this
position before using.
Focusing:
Look into the lens without graduation scale (usu-
ally the left turbe) and close your right eye.
Turn the separate eyepiece focussing
just the sharpness of the object by changing the
focal distance.
Next focus the other lens (with the other eye) on
the subject by turning the dioptre adjustment
until sharp image is achieved.
Fold down eyecups:
If you wear sun/eyeglasses, fold down the eye-

cups
. This will bring eyes closer to the lens
thus providing an improved field of view.

Compass
Looking through this binocular you shall see a
scale with degrees (350, 360, 10).
This scale is an illuminated 360° compass. Qnce
you see 360° in the centre of the scale you are
looking sharply to the northern compass point.
