5.4 Height adjustment of the handle

In order to allow different sized people back-
friendly mowing, the inclination and thus the height
of the handle is adjustable.
When adjusting the handle inclination, take
care not to jam, bend or damage the
Bowden cable!

6. Starting / Stopping the engine

Attention: When delivered, your lawn
mower contains no engine oil.
Prior to the first start-up, make sure to fill in engine
oil. (Observe the hints in the separate engine
operator's manual).
Attention: Never operate the engine without
oil or with little oil. Major engine damage can
occur.
 Prior to mowing, check the oil level and refill oil
if necessary (see chap. 8.4).
During start up with self-propelled drive roller
mower, the drive has to be disengaged.
When starting the mower, position yourself on the
side or behind the mower. The safety distance
which is given by the handle is always to be
adhered to.
Caution! The cutter operates as soon as the
engine starts! Never reach with your hands under
the deck and never slide a foot under the deck!
Loosen both butterfly
nuts (a) of the
clamping device.
Move the handle to
the desired position
within the clamping
blocks and make sure
that both lower parts
of the handle are on
the same height in of
the three possible
positions and fit
a
completely in the
clamping block

6.1 Starting

Caution – Risk of poisoning!
Never leave a motor running in an enclosed
space!
Caution – Risk of injury!
Do not tilt the lawnmower while starting!
Attention:
Start the motor only when the blade is
mounted (the blade acts as a flywheel
mass).
If starting the motor when hot do NOT use
the choke or primer button.
Do not change the motor controller settings.
Do not start the equipment if the outlet shaft is not
covered by one of the following parts:
Grass catcher
Deflector plate
Mulch kit
Be particularly careful when operating the starter
switch - follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Keep your feet at a safe distance from the cutting
gear.
Start the lawnmower where the grass is shorter.
